Greg Laporta - Composer

whose current credits includes orchestral programming for Howard Shore’s

Oscar winning score for Lord of the Rings, has also carved a niche in the highly

competitive field of TV Network IDs. He is the creator of original music

and sound design for VH-1, USA Network, History Channel, and many more.

Greg has proven his multi-faceted talents on commercials for

Volkswagen, Crisco, Elmer’s Glue, Red Lobster and a host of others.

In addition to his ease composing such styles as rock, reggae, blues, funk, jazz and pop,

Greg Laporta is also a masterful classical pianist.

Having been a product specialist for New England Digital's Synclavier company,

during which time he toured with Sting, Pat Metheny, Michael Jackson and others,

Greg is one of those guys who is known in the industry as a “player!”
